Why Have a Sewer Camera Inspection?

During a seller pre-listing, home, or commercial property inspection, the inspector cannot see into the sewer to check for issues such as root intrusion, drain line blockages, or broken or cracked pipes. These problems can only be detected by a camera inserted into the main drain line. Repairing or replacing buried drain lines is quite expensive, not to mention inconvenient.

If the drain line is located under or near sidewalks, driveways, or landscaping elements, the expense will rise dramatically. All of this to say, that the wise buyer or seller will schedule a sewer line video inspection before the end of escrow.
